HOTEL CATEGORYCAL BY GASTROSUISSE


The new Swiss hotel categorization for small and medium-sized hotels.

The hotel categorization is a service of GastroSuisse, the leading national association for the hotel and catering industry.
The five-level classification system assigns the hotels to the five internationally used categories C1 (simple) to C5 (luxury). A regular inspection takes place every three years. The categories C1 (simple), C2 (functional), C3 (comfort class) and  C4 (first class) do already exist. The category C5 (luxury) is to be introduced in a second phase.
